Lowongan Kerja Enterprise GIS Specialist

PT Hatfield Indonesia (PTHI) is seeking an experienced Enterprise GIS Specialist (minimum 5 years work experience) for our Bogor office. PTHI is a well established (1990) and growing environmental consulting company that offers excellent career opportunities for highly motivated individuals.

The selected individual will work under the supervision of the Senior GIS
Specialist and Vice-President to provide GIS services to our clients in environment, mining, forestry, and oil & gas sectors, and also support our team of environmental specialists/scientists with GIS support.

ENTERPRISE GIS SPECIALIST

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the supervisionmof the Senior GIS Specialist and Vice-President, the GIS Specialist willmparticipate in the following activities:

Needs Assessment – visit client sites, e.g. mining companies, forestry companiesand conduct GIS needs assessment with a range of current and potential GIS users;
System Design and Implementation – based on analysis of requirements, design and implement GIS that meet the needs of clients;
System Support – provide remote troubleshooting and support visits as needed;
Training– implement GIS training for new users and expert GIS managers, develop Standard Operating Procedures;
Support the PTHI office with general GIS assistance, including analysis and mapping;
and Support the completion of proposals and reports in English and Indonesian.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in GIS or related discipline from a reputable university; Minimum 5 years experience working on GIS projects, including server GIS; Excellent knowledge of ArcGIS 9.x, including geodatabases, ArcGIS Server, and synchronisation;

Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and solid problem-solving skills; Ability to handle multipleresponsibilities concurrently and prioritize workload under deadline pressure;

Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team;

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to explain problems and solutions, in non-technical terms;

Good IT technical skills, and able to keep up-to-date with developments in GIS and Fluent in English both oral and written.

Optional Skill:

Experience of developing relational databases with mySQL/MS-SQL/Oracle;
Knowledge of forestry or mining industry;
Knowledge of remote sensing;
and Pythonscripting and other programming, .e.g. PHP, Visual Basic, C++.
