SKM is currently implementing a project for the Asian Development Bank in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. The objective of the project is to support in the strategic planning, programming and implementation. It is urgently looking for IT Programmers, Roads and Bridges Engineers, Irrigation Design & Maintenance Specialists, GIS Specialists and Economist and finance specialists.

 

GPS Specialist 

Applicant Requirements:

A qualified GPS Specialist should have a relevant degree in IT/geography/GIS/ with minimum of 3 years experience working using GPS for surveying and database design. 

Description of Duties:

? Retrieve the asset geographical coordinates from the field team 

? Prepare maps related to ‘peat land’ in working area

? Edit maps that need to be repaired on evaluation

? Compile metadata of peat land data and data involved

? Copy data to other disk as back up data.

? Assist cluster groups to prepare maps as needed. The clusters include economy and finance, sociology and environment.

? Assist the team of this project in conducting and preparing for the workshop.

 

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Geographical Science, Computer Science/Information Technology, Geology/Geophysics or equivalent.

Required skill(s): GPS surveying, prepare maps, Geography.

Preferred skill(s): compile metadata, database design.

Required language(s): English.

At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Preferably Senior Executives specializing in Geology/Geophysics or equivalent. Job role in Geologist or Geophysicist.

Contract positions available.
